Ruston Way Waterfront | Cameron Puyallup High School Senior

This is Cameron and he is a senior this year at Puyallup High School.  Now that fall has definitely arrived here in Washington, we had our eyes on the weather forecast and decided to push up his session.  I’m so thankful for flexible clients!  The weather was awesome for an October afternoon.  We started off at the Chinese Reconciliation Park and it almost looked like summer.

Cameron designed his letterman’s jacket and it arrived just in time for him to wear it for his senior pictures!  I’m so glad he brought it along to his session so we could get some detail shots of it.  What a creative way to commemorate the things that have been a part of his life from baseball to video games and quad drums to the Viking mascot of his high school.  Did you notice the baseball in the 2022?  So clever!  I love that Mt. Rainier is in the background, too!

We worked down Ruston Way and even though it was high tide, we found a stretch of beach that we had almost entirely to ourselves.  Cameron and his family are huge Seahawk fans!

We back tracked down the beach and finished up at the Dickman Mill Park along Ruston Way.  It’s got the most interesting artwork depicting Tacoma’s lumber history.

The pedestrian platform gave us an amazing view of Commencement Bay.

As most high school seniors do, Cameron has a busy year ahead of him.  He plays the quad drums for the Puyallup High School drum line, concert and marching bands.  He’s part of the technology student association and National Honor Society.  In his spare time he likes to build computers, golf and whitewater raft.  Cameron hopes to attend the University of Washington (There’s two huskies in our household, so go Dawgs!) and major in Computer Science, minor in Music and hopes to play in the PAC-12 drum line.

Huge thanks to Cameron and his mom, Stephanie, for such a great session.  Best wishes for an awesome senior year, Cameron!
